Dead To Me Season 2

The new season of the Netflix hit starts filming in September.

With news that Season 2 of Dead to Me is coming, things were already bright and cheerful for Christina Applegate which is ironic because the intriguing dark comedy revolves around the death of her husband.

Well, it’s all sunshine and rainbows for the talented actress because she has been nominated for an Emmy in the category of Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy.

Truth be told, the moments when her character, Jen, absolutely loses it and flies off the handle are worthy of the nomination alone.

It also helps that her sparring partner Judy (Linda Cardellini) is also excellent as both women come to terms with loss, grief, and anger.

In case you haven’t seen the show, we’re not going to give too much away but an intriguing plot twist draws the two women closer and as the first season came to an end, we all knew that more episodes were coming.

After winning an Emmy for her guest-starring role on Friends in 2003, Applegate is a good bet to scoop the main prize again and speaking after her nomination, she teased a few details about what fans can expect in Season 2 of Liz Feldman’s show.

In an interview with TV Guide, she said: “Holy crap! Liz went over what the season is going to look like. Oh hell. She said it’s going much harder work for me this season. I was depleted as a human being after last year. I plan on trying to laugh a lot between now and September [when filming on Season 2 will begin]. Really enjoy lightness.”
