Let your soullllll glooooow because the boys are back.

To paraphrase the iconic line of Clarence from the beloved Coming To America: “Eddie Murphy had come out of retirement to fight Rocky Marciano! The man was seventy-six years old! Eddie Murphy always lied about his age! He lied about his age all the time! One time, Frank Sinatra came in here, and sat in this chair. I say, “Frank, you hang out with Eddie Murphy. Just between me and you, how old is Eddie Murphy?” Know what Frank told me? He said “Hey, Eddie Murphy is a hundred thirty-seven years old.” A hundred and thirty-seven years old!”.

Granted, much like any conversation that happened in Coming to America’s barbershop, that paragraph is complete bullshit but just like Randy Watson’s career with the wonderful Sexual Chocolate, things are about to get so fine because Coming to America 2 is happening.

Of course, Prince Akeem and Semmi are incredibly well known in Zamunda but in terms of costume work for Coming to America 2, the producers are looking for some inspiration from Wakanda.

That’s because Ruth E. Carter, costume designer on Black Panther, has shared some photos with stars Eddie Murphy and Arsenio Hall.

Oh yeah, the Oscar that she won on the comic-book film is there too.

This is also the first official confirmation that Arsenio Hall is returning for the sequel.

In terms of the plot, Craig Brewer (Empire, Black Snake Moan, My Name Is Dolemite) will be directing and the story revolves around Akeem learning about a long lost son that he has in America.

Freeze you diseased rhinoceros pizzle…and look at this.
