Considering that Furious 7 grossed over one billion dollars at the box office, it should come as no surprise to hear that an eight instalment is in the works.
No really, it is. The next instalment of Universal’s blockbuster franchise is set for an April 14, 2017 release date.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, the news was revealed ‘during the studio's CinemaCon presentation, following an emotional speech by Vin Diesel’.
"We're going to make the best movie you've ever seen”.
We can’t wait – but we’ll have to.
In other less interesting movie news, unless, of course, you’re into bondage and painful sex practises, Universal also revealed that two Fifty Shades of Grey sequels will hit cinemas in February 2017 and February 2018.
