This was a nice surprise.
If you haven’t seen it, then you need to check out Creep right now.
Go on, right now, it is only 77 minutes long, and it is actually available to watch on Netflix right now.
It tells the story of Aaron, a videographer who is hired by Josef, a man dying of cancer. Josef wants to leave his unborn son a series of videos before he passes away, but over the course of their day together, Aaron realises that there is a much darker intent to Josef’s plans that he ever could have guessed.
We won’t say much more than that, so we’ll just wait til you’re done watching the movie…..

…….. Back already? How good was that?!
Creep was one of those horror movies that came out of nowhere, snuck up on you very stealthily, before completely getting under your skin and staying there until you were all screamed out.
Critics absolutely LOVED it (96% on Rotten Tomatoes, which is practically unheard of for a horror movie), the film didn’t even hit cinemas here, going to straight to Netflix in July of 2015.
Which is why we’re very happy to announce that a surprise sequel has arrived out of nowhere, and will be available to watch at home just in time for Halloween.
This time Josef – or, as he’s calling himself now, Aaron (uh oh…) – gets the attention of documentarian Sara, who agrees to interview him when he admits to being a serial killer. Unable to turn down the opportunity of making a piece of potentially ground-breaking cinema, she heads into the woods with him, and we’re guessing things don’t go super well for her.

To be honest, we didn’t think the little weirdo indie horror Creep would ever get a sequel, but considering it comes from Blumhouse, the production company that never met a horror movie it couldn’t turn into a franchise (see: Insidious, The Purge, Ouija, Sinister, Paranormal Activity), we guess we shouldn’t be too surprised.
Creep 2 will be available on video-on-demand services from Tuesday 24 October.
