Dead To Me Season 2

It’s coming back and will be even darker than before.

Granted, it’s very likely that someone is interested in season two of a show without seeing the first one, but a spoiler alert is still necessary given the cliffhanger that ended the final episode of Dead To Me.

Steve is dead. Long live the girls.

Dark, twisted, and funny, season two of Dead To Me proved to be a massive hit with Netflix viewers because it handled death in a way that seemed normal and everyday.

Not everything is ‘Keep the head up,’ ‘Carry on with life,’ and ‘Be strong’. Fuck it, there are times when you’re fully entitled to let the anger and sadness out, and with Christina Applegate’s character Jen Harding, that certainly was the case.

It also helped that the dynamic between her and Linda Cardellini (Judy Hale) was constantly on a knife edge that changed between genuine friendship to foreboding tension.

As fans of the show will know, Judy was responsible for the hit-and-run that killed Jen’s husband. However, he was far from an ideal husband and their blossoming friendship os proof that grief can have the strangest impact.

Anyway, season two is now in production and there’s one question that lingers, who show Steve?

“I’ll just say that you don’t know that she (Jen) shot him,” creator Liz Feldman said in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter.

“It’s not exactly what you think it’s going to be.”

Feldman also talked about what season two has in store.

“There’s an evening of the score and there’s a rebalancing that will take place and almost, in some ways, a role reversal.

“This show will always be a show that explores the dark sides and the light sides of grief, loss, forgiveness and friendship. So suffice to say, there will be more darkness,” she adds.

We can’t wait.
