Listen to JOE’s brand new Game Of Thrones reaction show, The North Awaits, with Michael Fry & Carl Kinsella right here.
Fans think they spotted a big mistake but that’s not the case.
As always, if you haven’t seen the latest episode of Game of Thrones, consider this to be your spoiler alert warning.
As the bells summoned Daenerys’ descent into The Mad Queen in the penultimate episode of Game of Thrones, fans were left to think about the writing on Season 8 as the Breaker of Chains became the embodiment of everything that she stood against.
To be honest, the show has been building this arc for the last few episodes but given the previous seven seasons, it’s clear that recent storylines have felt rushed and Dany’s decision to burn King’s Landing is just one example of this.
While the storytelling and writing have been the main issues of contention in Season 8, there was also the famous gaffe about a rogue coffee cup making an appearance too.
In the most recent episode, fans thought they spotted another gaffe in the photo below.
As you can see, it appears that Jaime Lannister has managed to regrow his hand, however, this isn’t the case.
It turns out that the above image was released after the episode aired.
Every week, HBO releases photographs immediately after Game of Thrones airs and while this particular picture of a two-handed Jaime isn’t on HBO’s website now, a cached version of the page shows that it was on their site on Monday.
James Hibberd is EW’s most prominent Game of Thrones journalist – there isn’t an aspect of the production that he doesn’t cover – and he confirmed this to be the case.
Aside from this, Jaime’s golden hand is clearly visible in the scenes he shares with Cersei.
Don’t believe us?
Take a look at the images below.
Re: The "you can see Jaime's right hand" flub. Unlike the Starbucks-like cup, that shot wasn't actually in the episode (despite reports making it sound like it was). The image was, however, in a photo put out by HBO #gameofthrones pic.twitter.com/F5dpcfPVaE

Here’s the cached image that was on HBO’s website which featured Jaime with his two ‘normal’ hands.
Here are some images of Jaime Lannister in the actual episode.
There isn’t a moment when he doesn’t have his golden hand.
Here, meanwhile, are some of the behind the scenes images featuring Lena Headey and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau.
As you can see, the golden hand is still there.
