Disney have also confirmed when the second season will premiere in Ireland.
As we mentioned during our recent piece on the somewhat quiet release of the first season, it does feel like more people should be talking about War of the Worlds.
Starring Gabriel Byrne and Daisy Edgar-Jones, the first season featured a strong The Walking Dead-vibe, but with the zombie horror replaced with alien invasion, and it all made for some very compulsive viewing.
If you haven’t watched that first season yet, go do that right now, as the second season is arriving very soon!
After the climactic events which saw Edgar-Jones’ character board a downed alien ship, it looks like she’ll be front-and-centre of the events of this time around, at least based on the newly-released clip from the second season.
The action will continue to take place across France and the UK, and Byrne and Edgar-Jones will be joined by the cast members who managed to survived the first season: Léa Drucker, Natasha Little, Stéphane Caillard, Adel Bencherif, Ty Tennant, Stephen Campbell Moore, Bayo Gbadamosi, Aaron Heffernan and Emilie de Preissac.
War of the Worlds Season 2 will premiere exclusively on Star on Disney+ on Friday, 16 July, and unlike the first season’s arrival on Disney+, the second season’s episodes will arrive every Friday, across eight weeks.
