A Dublin pub will be screening every episode from Season 8 of Game of Thrones

Paul Moore

Heaven for some Game of Thrones fans.

Despite the relatively decent weather that we’ve all been enjoying, there’s no denying that winter is here because we’re less than two weeks away from the premiere of the final season of Game of Thrones.

While everyone will be doing their very best to keep spoilers to a minimum – if someone does spoil something for you, you’ve our permission to go ‘full Mountain’ on them like he did against Oberyn Martell – but we do know a few things.

There’s going to be a massive battle. There’s going to be blood. There’s going to be dragons. There’s going to be death. There’s going to be wine.

On this note, if you’re a Game of Thrones fan that enjoys watching every sprawling episode unfold in the company of others, The Back Page in Phibsborough, Dublin has the perfect thing for you.

The beloved bar has consistently hosted some of the coolest nights in Dublin – their Always Sunny quizzes are great and they’ve also got mini golf on offer- but they’re bringing back their Game of Thrones screenings this season.

Tyrion may drink and know things but fans of the beloved drama can now drink and watch things unfold in Westeros.

As they state on their official page: “Last season we showed all the episodes and everyone seemed to love it, so we are back again. What is going to happen though?? Will it be a bloodbath?….probably Come along and bring your GOT loving pals, we’ll be showing all the episodes Monday at 9pm on the following dates: 15 April, 22 April, 29 April, 6 May, 13 May, 20 May.”

Truth be told, we’re all going to need a few drinks to quell the pain when Game of Thrones ends. However, when it does, we’ll be more than happy to raise a glass to arguably the biggest and best TV show since the turn of the millennium.
