One man and his guitar soon to parted.
Ed Sheeran is giving acting a shot in the FX period drama The Bastard Executioner, a medieval series that is rumored to be quite gruesome.
The drama follows a 14th century warrior and tells his story as his life is changed forever when a ‘divine messenger’ asks him to leave his life by the sword behind and become a journeyman executioner.
It is currently being filmed in the UK and Ed Sheeran is reportedly playing Sir Cormac, an ambitious and deadly protégé of a high-ranking church elder.
This is not the first time Sheeran has played the small screen, recording a version of his bluesy cover of Foy Vance’s ‘Make it Rain’ for the penultimate episode of Sons of Anarchy. as well as appearing on NBC’s ‘Undateable’.
Hopefully it will be a series worth watching.
