Thoughts?

With the news that Daniel Craig will return as James Bond, the production on 007’s 25th adventure is well underway. Despite the fact that no director has been announced yet, Christopher Nolan (Dunkirk, The Dark Knight Trilogy, Inception) has already said that he’s definitely interested in the gig.

Well, with a release date of November 2019, we’re expecting a raft of Bond-related announcements soon, but Ed Sheeran has already thrown his name into the hat with regards to the theme song.

Most recently, Sam Smith’s track for Spectre, Writing’s on the Wall, won an Oscar for Best Original Song and Sheeran reckons he has what it takes to leave audiences shaken and stirred.

Speaking on The Late Late Show, the Thinking Out Loud singer said: “With Bond, I’ve had a theme tune written for about three years, just in case! If ever I’m called. I’ll be like ‘right, there you go.” Sheeran has said that the producers haven’t asked him yet but given his popularity, we can see this happening.

Here’s hoping that it’s better received than his Game of Thrones performance.

Also, kudos for the magnificent Star Wars jumper there Ed.
