Empire reveals the Top 10 Greatest Movie & TV Characters of all time

And the greatest movie character of all time is…

Indiana Jones, obviously. Don't look too shocked, Indy... Well, that’s according to the readers of Empire Magazine who voted in the Raiders of the Lost Ark lead as their favourite movie character of all time. The top 100 results will be published in the August edition of Empire Magazine, which is set to hit shops on Wednesday, June 24.

Harrison Ford has reason to smile as he also managed to bag the third spot with his character Han Solo from the Star Wars franchise. Sigourney Weaver’s character Ellen Ripley from the Alien movie was the only female character to appear on the movies list, coming in fifth overall, while Buffy the Vampire Slayer was the only female to appear on the greatest TV characters list coming in seventh place. As for the top of the small screen, it may come as no surprise whatsoever, but Bryan Cranston’s Walter White from the hit AMC show Breaking Bad claimed the top spot as Empire’s all-time favourite TV character.
