EXCLUSIVE: Patrick Stewart reveals his favourite ever scene from the X-Men films

Eoghan Doherty

It’s such a lovely moment…

Ever since we first heard the mournful opening notes of ‘Hurt’ slowly sounding from Johnny Cash’s guitar, we knew Logan was something to be excited about.

With one of the best trailers we’ve seen in years (see below), the brand new X-Men film is one of the most highly-anticipated releases of 2017, and rightly so, because this fantastic film has taken a much darker turn than any of the X-Men mutant movies before it.

To mark the film’s release, we caught up with the legendary Patrick Stewart, the man who’s been playing the masterful mutant, Professor Charles Xavier, for an amazing 17 years.

We chatted about his beautifully nuanced role in Logan – one of our must-see films of the year – his own personal favourite memory of his time with the X-Men and he reveals the day that changed his career forever.

Enjoy…

We also had the chance to speak to the director of Logan, James Mangold, to talk about ultraviolence, cheeseburgers and how he reckons Ireland has “per capita, more great actors than anywhere else.”

He’s not wrong. Enjoy…

Make sure you check out the top-notch trailer one more time, it’s genuinely an action-packed cracker…
