Strewth! The outback has never looked so dangerous.

Strewth! The outback has never looked so dangerous…

Now that the Twilight series has ended, it’s finally OK for JOE watch a film with Robert Pattinson in it. To be fair though, those films did pretty well at the box-office without us anyway.

Pattinson has been looking to shed the ‘sparkly vegetarian vampire’ image for quite a while now and JOE has got an exclusive look at his new apocalyptic western The Rover.

The story is set ten years after a global economic collapse, where a hardened loner (Pattinson) pursues a gang of men who stole his only possession, his car. Along the way, he captures one of the thieves’ brothers, and the duo form an uneasy bond during the dangerous journey. The supremely talented Guy Pearce stars alongside R-Patz (can’t believe we just typed that) in this one

Take a look…

JOE are big fans of director David Michôd’s previous excellent film, Animal Kingdom, and we certainly have a soft spot for atmospheric apocalyptic films like Mad Max, The Road and No Country for Old Men. If this is half as good as those films then we’re sold.
