Leonardo DiCaprio spent the best part of a year shooting latest film The Revenant.
Set in the North American wilderness, the actor said it was the most punishing film of his career, and when you watch it you can see why.
Starring DiCaprio as legendary frontiersman Hugh Glass – with the brilliant Tom Hardy as his nemesis John Fitzgerald – the story unravels into an intense and bloody trail of misery, murder and deceit.
But there’s nothing tedious about the movie at all thanks to director Alejandro González Iñárritu, who won the Best Director Oscar for Birdman.
