We finally have a return date for season two of The Crown

We finally know when The Crown will be back.

Netflix has confirmed that the second season of The Crown will launch on Friday, December 8. Just in time for ... dare we say it... Christmas. Not only have the folks at Netflix confirmed the date for its return, but they've also released the first images from the new series. The synopsis for the new series says it begins "with soldiers in Her Majesty’s Armed Forces fighting an illegal war in Egypt, and ending with the downfall of her third Prime Minister, Harold Macmillan after a devastating scandal, the second season bears witness to the end of the age of deference, and ushers in the revolutionary era of the 1960s."
