First footage released from upcoming Hamilton movie

The film adaptation of Hamilton is being released this week.

The first bit of actual footage from the upcoming Hamilton movie has been released, days before the movie is being uploaded to Disney+.

The clip released shows the beginning of the song ‘Satisfied’, sang by Renee Goldsberry.

The film will feature the original Broadway cast, and will be a full recording of the stage show, adapted for the smaller screen.

When it comes to accolades, Hamilton as a musical really couldn’t have been any more successful.

It won a whopping 11 Tony Awards, a Grammy, an Olivier Award and even a Pulitzer Prize.

Hamilton tells the story of the incredible life of Alexander Hamilton, a founding father of the United States, as well as the birth of America as a nation.

Hamilton is being uploaded to Disney+ on Friday, 3 July.

Creator and star of the musical Lin-Manuel Miranda said: “I’m so grateful to all the fans who asked for this, and I’m so glad that we’re able to make it happen.

“I’m so proud of this show. I can’t wait for you to see it.”
