Foo Fighters invite a fan on stage to play ‘Monkey Wrench’ and he f**king shreds on the guitar

Paul Moore

Foo Fighters fan

He’s so good that Dave Grohl even forgot the words.

With news that Foo Fighters are on tour this summer, fans of the band won’t have to wait long to catch Dave Grohl and co – lads, please announce an Irish date – and if you’ve ever seen them in the flesh, you’ll know just how mental the audience goes when ‘Monkey Wrench’ comes on.

Truth be told, the moment when Dave Grohl absolutely loses his shit and screams “One last thing before I quit, I never wanted any more than I could fit, Into my head, I still remember every single word you said, And all the shit that somehow came along with it, Still there’s one thing that comforts me, Since I was always caged and now I’m freeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!” is amazing.

During a recent gig in Austin, Texas, Grohl spotted a fan’s sign in the crowd that said ‘Monkey Wrench.’ Not only did they play they track – hell, they were always going to because it’s superb – but the band actually invited ‘Kiss Guy’ (real name Yayo Sanchez) onto the stage to play.

What unfolds is great as ‘Kiss Guy’ absolutely shreds on the guitar.

We wonder if Grohl, Pat Smear and Chris Shiflett might let him take over lead guitars?

Take a look.
