Forget about IMDB, there’s a new cinematic site specifically for Irish films

IFDB is a great idea

From The Guard to My Left Foot, there are hundreds of iconic Irish films here…

Here at JOE, we love Irish film and so do the people at Irish Film Database.

The Irish Film Database, AKA the IFDB, is a brand new website solely dedicated to Irish films.

According to the site’s founder, Niall Murphy (the big brain behind Scannain.com), IFDB is “a database of films produced and filmed on the island of Ireland. Right now, there are about 530 films on the site, but there’ll be over 1000 by the time I’m done populating it. The database is currently catalogued by director, actor, genre and year, and I’ll add production company soon.”

It’s a great idea and we wish Niall the very best with the venture.

If you want to contribute any additional information to the site, you can get in touch with Niall by emailing [email protected] and you can check out the new site in all its green glory by clicking here.
