The new Frankie Boyle BBC series looks genuinely brilliant

Rudi Kinsella

Frankie Boyle

One of the funniest men in the world has a brand new show coming.

Frankie Boyle’s stand up comedy might not be for everyone.

His sense of humour is as offensive as gets, and when it comes to taboo subjects, absolutely nothing is off limits for the Scotsman.

It’s why some people won’t ever watch him, and why some think he’s absolutely hilarious.

And if you are the latter, you’re certainly going to enjoy his new show coming to BBC.

Frankie Boyle’s Tour of Scotland will see the man himself as he sets off on a stand-up tour of Scotland.

On four trips to four gigs, he meets a heady mix of people and places, filtering his nation’s past and present through his unique mind.

And although we’d be amazed if it had any of the inappropriate content that is now synonymous with Boyle, it does still seem absolutely gas.

Take a look at a clip from the first episode here:

It looks like we might see a more intimate side of the iconic comedian, as well as some extremely interesting Scottish characters.

Frankie Boyle’s Tour of Scotland starts on BBC 2 on Friday 7 February.
