Fresh development hell for the long-awaited film.
Twentieth Century Fox has temporarily shut down production on the forthcoming Queen biopic Bohemian Rhapsody, citing the "unexpected unavailability" of its director Bryan Singer.
The film studio released a statement confirming the pause in filming following reports that Singer had failed to return after the Thanksgiving break.
Sources close to the Rami Malek-starring project told The Hollywood Reporter that there's been serious tension on the set, while a rep for Singer told the BBC that the director is dealing with a "personal health matter concerning Bryan and his family."
Despite these developments, Bohemian Rhapsody is still scheduled for a Christmas Day release next year.
