The Den return

The good news we needed as the world crumbles around us.

Earlier on Tuesday, we received the news that after 10 long years, The Den would be returning to our screens.

It was the pick-me-up we needed, even though the details weren’t exactly clear at the time.

But we do know now that it’s going to be a weekend family show reuniting Ray D’Arcy with his alien buddies and the legendary Dustin the Turkey.

Ray D’Arcy said: “The Den will return in November! We’re on in the lead-up to Christmas. We’re there for the boys and girls and parents and inviting them to do all the thing they used to, and more! It’s all very exciting and I can’t wait to be on telly with the boys again.

“People out there need a bit of mayhem, madness and boldness and that’s what we hope to deliver.”

We couldn’t agree more.

From 8 November on, every Sunday at 6.30pm, all of our favourites from back in the day will be on our screens, as part of a much-needed attempt to pick us up on the cold winter nights.

Fans of The Den have been calling for the show to make a comeback since their special reunion on RTÉ Does Comic Relief earlier this year.

Here is the amount Ray D’Arcy announced the news on the radio today.
