Gal Gadot’s intense new race-against-time thriller sets Prime Video release

Star-studded cast of Gal Gadot's upcoming London-set thriller

Directed by Kevin Macdonald, the film centres on an attorney forced into a frantic one-hour race across London to assassinate a mob trial witness after her young son is kidnapped. 

Maia Marten (Gal Gadot) is a single mother to 8 year-old son Noah (Rory Wilmot, who will play Nevill Longbottom in the Harry Potter HBO series) before setting him off to school.

Maia, who is part of a prosecution team against a notorious crime boss, has her own big day ahead with a heavily star witness ready to talk. 

On her morning run, she receives a call from her son’s phone only to find that it isn’t Noah on the other end, but an adult (Damian Lewis) who’s been keeping an eye on the small family for some time. 

Irish viewers will be met with plenty of thrillers, including Zack Snyder’s ‘Apocalypse Now-style’ action-thriller, and a 93% rated thriller on rotten tomatoes on RTÉ Player. 

The Runner premieres on Amazon Prime Video this Wednesday 2 September, following the release of Reacher season 4.
