The movie is said to have been in the works since the mid-2000s.

Premiering this month at the prestigious Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), the movie centres around an ex-DEA agent (played by Snyder regular Stuart Martin) seeking revenge in a South American jungle where "dangerous terrain and inner demons intermingle".

The plot synopsis on TIFF's website reads: "Retired DEA agent Ethan Black (Martin) travels to South America in search of his missing nephew and niece, and to avenge the slaying of his brother, a diplomat, and sister-in-law.
