Game of Thrones + football Kits = YES!

As the World Cup enters its knockout stages, football fans are set to experience a level of pain, cruelty and heartbreak that’s almost unparalleled. That description is equally apt for anyone that loves Game of Thrones because as we know, all men must die.

This being said, we don’t expect any of the remaining countries to be massacred at the Red Wedding, eaten alive by a pack of wights or stabbed, burned, frozen, impaled, decapitated, flayed etc.

A few days ago, this football kit that’s inspired by Wakanda was too good to share and on that note, we decided to delve into the archive and relive these beauties because they’re far too nice to stay in Westeros.

The person responsible for these beautiful kits is designer @IwtwfNike and these designs were created four years ago to coincide with the World Cup in Brazil.

Nerea Palacios, a fashion designer and football fan, and Daniel Nyari, an illustrator and graphic designer, have teamed up to produce these incredible Game of Thrones-inspired kits and they really need to be made.

Despite the fact that they’re incredibly popular, the designs haven’t been made just yet but given the massive increase in the show’s popularity since 2014, we’re re-starting our campaign to get these made.

Take a look at these designs for the various Houses – Lannister, Stark, Targaryen, Martell, Baratheon, Tully, Tyrell, etc – because some of them are absolutely beautiful.

Aside from this, the White Walkers and the Night’s Watch also get some nice gear of their own.

Any favourites?

Baratheon, Stark and House Bolton are all pretty tidy.
