A drive-in cinema showing the Harry Potter films and more is coming to Galway

Galway drive-in cinema

Magic for anyone that’s living out West.

In terms of the most famous car from the Harry Potter saga, that honour goes to Arthur Weasley’s Flying Ford Anglia, but unlike that invisible car after it got battered by Whomping Willow, we’re sure that film fans will leave Galway’s newest attraction without a dent to their vehicle… we think!

Expecto fun because Ballybrit Racecourse in Galway will be hosting a new drive-in cinema that will be showing a plethora of films over three nostalgia-packed nights.

250 carloads of film fans will get to experience the magic of the largest Mobile LED Screen in the entire world and there’s a decent selection of titles on offer.

iRadio along with Retro Drive in Movies will be showing the first three films in the Harry Potter saga along with Hocus Pocus, The Exorcist and Scream.

FYI, if you want to call up your friend and ask them if they like scary movies while they’re watching Scream, we’re all in favour of that prank.

The whole festival runs from 19-21 October and more details can be found here.

All you have to worry about now is bringing the popcorn. Now doesn’t this sound like a different night out?
