Game Of Thrones is looking for actors to star in Season 8

It appears that the producers are on the lookout for some fresh talent to bring in... and presumably, kill off!

Know anyone that fits the description?

It’s tough watching Game of Thrones because you get so close to these characters that it feels like they’re an extended part of your family and friends. Then they die. Horribly.

If you didn’t react to the Red Wedding like it was the funeral of someone that you knew then you must be colder than a White Walker.

That being said, with Season 8 approaching and the Great War about to begin, it appears that the producers are on the lookout for some fresh talent to bring in… and presumably, kill off!

The extremely reputable fansite Watchers on the Wall is reporting that the creators of the show are on the lookout for two new characters, a girl and a boy.

Given the fact that they’re undoubtedly one of the best sites for all things related to the Seven Kingdoms, you can take this call-out as all but guaranteed.

The first role that they’re looking to fill is described as a Northern Girl.

According to their brief, the character will be around age eight, but they are open to seeing actresses older than this, up to age 10.

Filming for that part begins on November 17.

In what sounds like a character that closely resembles Lyanna Mormont’s nature, the role is described as being a fearless, straight-talking Northern-accented girl that has been raised by a family of soldiers and shares their fearlessness. The part is said to be a “very nice stand-out part for a strong-minded young girl with a fighting spirit”.

Know anyone that resembles the Lady of Bear Island’s strength, sass and inability to tolerate crap?

The second role they’re looking to fill is simply described as a Boy.

This character is 8-12 years old, physically fit, and comes from a poor background. Perhaps a flashback, Bran vision, of a young Gendry here?

The brief from Watchers on the Wall states that the actor needs to “completely own the scenes that he appears in”.

Note that this character will appear in more than one scene.

At present, this particular role is scheduled for filming in the last week of November and the last week of December, but this could change.

Game of Thrones is produced by Home Box Office (HBO), Television 360, Grok! Studio (as Grok! Television), Generator Entertainment and Bighead Littlehead.

Nina Gold, CSA, Casting Director, Robert Sterne, CSA, Casting Director and Carla Stronge, Casting Director are primarily responsible for casting the show.
