The Great War between The Night King’s army and the alliance of Jon and Daenerys will be settled over a friendly game of Scrabble.
There won’t be a single drop of blood shed and the world’s greatest show will end after audiences realise that it has all been a dream.
Yeah, if you’ll believe any of that, you’ll probably believe the latest ridiculous theory that Littlefinger is still alive.
With the biggest battle in the history of TV and film to come, one thing is guaranteed – there will be blood. Actually, slight correction, there will be fire and blood.
Aside from the army of the dead breaching The Wall and heading to attack the Seven Kingdoms, there’s also the issue of the Iron Throne to be settled as Cersei’s treachery against Jon and Daenerys is bound to provoke a backlash.
April can’t come soon enough and while fans eagerly await the trailer for Season 8, Betvictor have priced up the odds on which characters are the most and least likely to die.
Euron Greyjoy might have deceived everyone at the Dragonpit during that seismic meeting but even with the support of the Iron Fleet and The Golden Company, he’s the most likely to meet his maker at 1/50.
Elsewhere, Cersei Lannister is arguably the shrewdest person when it comes to playing the game of thrones, but with enemies closing in, the bookies down’t think the current Queen of the Seven Kingdoms will last (1/25).
Jaime Lannister has now abandoned his sister as he rides north to honour his word and help in the fight against the Night King’s army of the dead. Sadly, he has only one hand and that’s probably why he’s priced at 1/12 to meet his doom.
Jorah Mormont has already beaten greyscale but he’s still a good bet to be a goner (1/7) while Lord Varys’ demise is also a decent bet (1/6).
Based on the odds, all five of these aforementioned characters have an implied probability of death that’s above 85%.
If you’re a fan of Samwell Tarly, it appears that Jon Snow’s best friend and the would-be Maester of Castle Black is a safe bet to survive.
You know what this means? The very first scene of Season 8 will see Sam, Gilly and young Sam getting slaughtered in a horrific massacre.

With regards to the Iron Throne, it appears that there are three clear favourites to rule the Seven Kingdoms – Bran Stark (1/1), Jon Snow (4/1) and Daenerys Targaryen (4/1).
Truth be told, the inclusion of Bran is a bit of a surprise to us because now that he’s the Three-Eyed Raven, surely his mind is set on more philosophical and serious matters than the most uncomfortable chair in Westeros?
