Winter is here.
With news that the
final season of Game of Thrones appears to be premiering at a later date than expected, fans of the superb show will need something to get them through The Long Night.
Granted, an Irish autumn doesn't usually coincide with an army of the dead invading your hometown and killing everyone you know, but we still need something.
On this note, HBO unveiled their lineup for the next few months and as always, Game of Thrones is the jewel in their crown.
Despite the fact that the show is still in heavy post-production to complete those intricate VFX shots - hell, those dragons are getting even bigger and we've been promised the largest battle in the show's history - the producers managed to sneak in a few seconds of new footage in the trailer.
As you can see, the clips featuring GoT scenes are mainly comprised from old footage but there's a tantalising glimpse of a reunion between Jon and Sansa at Winterfell.

Of course, the relationship between both characters was extremely frayed throughout Season 7 as the fallout from the Battle of the Bastards continued.
After being crowned the King in the North (the King in the North, the King in the North, the King in the North... repeat), Sansa wasn't entirely comfortable with seeing Jon taking all of the glory and this was compounded by his decision to absolve House Umber and Karstark of their treachery.
Aside from this, Jon's decision to personally travel to Dragonstone and seek an alliance with Daenerys was something that Sansa was vehemently against - she felt that he had a better chance of protecting the North from the Night King by staying put.
Now that Jon has bent the knee and started a relationship with his aunt, we wonder how the current Lady of Winterfell is going to take these new developments? Has Sansa developed a taste for power that might cause a problem in House Stark?
All will be revealed when Game of Thrones returns. When is that exactly? We don't know.
Dear HBO, just give us the exact release date please!
Despite the fact that only three seconds of footage was released, it hasn't stopped the theories and speculation from starting.
