From the writer of Game of Thrones and the director of Brokeback Mountain...
Welcome to #TRAILERCHEST, where we're taking a look at the brand new trailer for Gemini Man.
Plot's it all about? You can't keep a good Will down.
Nobody thought the remake of Aladdin would be as popular as it was, but now here it is, about to cross the billion dollar box office mark any minute.
So, to completely discount Gemini Man, too, would be a mistake, because while it does look kiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiind of silly, it could end up being the kind of amazingly silly action movie that we just don't get enough of anymore.
Remember Face/Off? Con Air? The Rock? THAT kind of silly.
Speaking of, the movie is produced by Jerry Bruckheimer (the guy behind, well, most of the silly action movies of the '80s and '90s), written by David Benioff (Game of Thrones), directed by Ang Lee (The Life Of Pi, Brokeback Mountain, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon), and stars Will Smith as an ageing assassin who finds himself being hunted down by a cloned, younger version of himself.
It also features a scene where Will Smith seemingly kicks a motorcycle at another Will Smith, and to be honest, we're 100% here for that kind of movie.
Starring: Will Smith, Clive Owen, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Benedict Wong, and Will Smith
Directed by: Ang Lee
Irish release date: Friday 11 October
