Get set for a Wedding Crashers reunion on Will Ferrell’s new Netflix comedy about the Eurovision

“Ma…the meatloaf!”

There are certain actors that just seem like the perfect fit for a project and whenever you hear Will Ferrell and Eurovision in the same sentence, you just know that it makes perfect sense.

Ridiculous costumes and pageantry – Check out Ferrell’s performance as “the ice-devouring sex tornado” Chazz Michael Michaels in Blades of Glory.

An intense rivalry that borders on the ridiculous – How about the epic duels that Anchorman’s Channel 4 News Team used to find themselves in? It’s also worth remembering that Ron Burgundy/Dr. Chim Richalds once called Veronica Corningstone and tried to get her to leave her job via a fake pregnancy report.

Intense rage and over the top manchild tantrums – Ferrell’s brief cameo in Wedding Crashers as the meatloaf-eating, skateboard-loving, and funeral-crashing Chazz was a joy to be behold.

Aside from his incredibly creepy and petulant performance, Ferrell’s beloved ‘funeral crasher’ also got some classic lines like “Dude died in a hang-gliding accident! What an idiot!” and “I almost numchucked you!”

Well, it appears that there’s going to be a Wedding Crashers reunion on Ferrell’s new Netflix comedy about the Eurovision because Deadline have reported that Rachel McAdams – one of the most under-appreciated actors in Hollywood – looks set to be teaming up with Ferrell again.

To make things even better, the director of Wedding Crashers, David Dobkin, is the man that’s directing this new film too.

Ferrell wrote the script with Andrew Steele, and he is producing with Jessica Elbaum and Chris Henchy from Gary Sanchez.

The director of Anchorman, Step Brothers, and The Other Guys, Adam McKay, is an executive producer too.

Perfect news with the Eurovision about to start soon.
