Good news because The Predator looks ridiculously gory

Paul Moore

“If it bleeds, we can kill it.”

Given that Predator is the greatest film in the history of cinema, I’m just going to use this opening paragraph to recite iconic lines from John McTiernan’s cult-classic.

“Get to the chopper!”, ” I ain’t got time to bleed”, “this stuff will make you a god damned sexual Tyrannosaurus, just like me”, “Dillon! You son of a bitch!” That was fin.

See, it’s dialogue that even Shakespeare himself would be proud of.

With the news that Shane Black – Hawkins from the original – has promised to deliver an action epic that’s dripping in blood, we’ve got another taste about what to expect and we’re giddy with excitement.

While Nimród Antal’s 2010 film Predators did turn up the gore ratio, we were still missing one of our favourite deaths from the first two Predator films.

You know what we’re talking about. People being skinned alive and missing limbs.

It’s clear that the director of Iron Man 3 and Kiss Kiss Bang Bang understands the fans and their need for gore because the first fatality from the reboot looks like a doozy.

Yes, that is a man and he has no face.

The cast of killers that will take on The Predator include; Boyd Holbrook (Narcos, Logan), Alfie Allen (Game of Thrones) Olivia Munn (X-Men: Apocalypse), Trevante Rhodes (Moonlight), Keegan-Michael Key (Why him?), Thomas Jane (The Punisher), Jacob Tremblay (Room) and Sterling K. Brown (The People vs. O.J. Simpson).

The Predator blasts into cinemas on August 3, 2018.
