Good news for any fans of Christmas FM out there...
This Saturday sees the reintroduction of Christmas FM to the Irish airwaves.
The Broadcasting Authority of Ireland have granted the station a 30-day licence, meaning it will broadcast up to and including St. Stephen's Day.
Expect to hear everything from Noddy Holder to The Darkness, with plenty of Cliff Richard in between. We can't wait.
They may even play this...
The station will broadcast across the country from 7am to 2am daily. It can be picked up in Dublin, Cork, Limerick and Galway, as well as parts of Dublin, Limerick and Cork counties and Longford, Cavan, Meath, Kildare, Wicklow, Waterford, Kilkenny and Tipperary.
Since 2008, Christmas FM has raised over €600,000 for charities including ISPCC, Barnardos, Simon, Focus Ireland, Age Action and Aware.
Garvan Rigby, co-founder of Christmas FM, says: “We are delighted to be back on air for our eight year and really excited to be working with new sponsors An Post and Lidl Ireland. We’d also like to thank the Ballsbridge Hotel in Dublin, which is home to the radio station again this year.”
