Yeah Mr White! Yeah spin-off shows!

Great news for Irish Breaking Baddicts as Netflix Inc. and Sony Pictures Television have announced that Better Call Saul, the highly-anticipated spin-off of the exceptional Breaking Bad, will be available exclusively to streaming members in Ireland and the UK in 2014, shortly after its airing in the US.

The show, starring Bob Odenkirk as the titular Saul and co-created and executive produced by Breaking Bad creator Vince Gilligan, will be available to stream within days of the US broadcast for Netflix members and tells the story of mall-based super lawyer Saul Goodman in the years before he became Walter White’s attorney. From parking tickets to mass murder, from slip-and-fall to bond fraud, Saul handles it all.

Here at JOE HQ we can’t wait to see the new show and we’re especially looking forward to (hopefully) seeing poor Huell out of the safe house, and we’ve got everything crossed that the creators decide to use this excellent authentic-looking, 80s-style, mock intro for the show. It will successfully making you pine for a television show that never even existed. Ah, better (fake) times…

JOE caught up with the genius creator of Breaking Bad Vince Gilligan recently and you can read our full interview with the living legend here, where he discusses how progress is actually going with the Bob Odenkirk spin-off show and how much of “a pleasure it is to put words in Saul Goodman’s mouth.”

And, in case you’ve been living under a big pile of rocks for the past year and one of the greatest television shows ever made has somehow passed you by, Breaking Bad is already available to view on Netflix so get watching (or re-watching) right now, Bitch.
