Now, if you still want to hear about it, you can continue reading. Otherwise head off and throw on Netflix to pass your evening.

Long Shot tells the story of Juan Catalan, who was arrested for a murder he didn’t commit.

In May 2003, a 16-year-old girl named Martha Puebla was shot dead at the doorstep of her Los Angeles home just days after she’d testified about two murders her ex- boyfriend Jose Ledesma had allegedly committed.

Catalan was accused of having carried out the murder on the orders Ledesma and Catalan’s own brother, Mario.

He was put behind bars as he awaited trial against a prosecution who’d never lost a case and liked to target people with the death penalty if they won.

However, Catalan had an alibi for the night in question. He claimed he couldn’t have been involved in the murders as he was at a baseball game in Dodgers Stadium on the night the murder occurred.

What follows is a dramatic search for footage to verify the fact that he was in Dodgers Stadium, in order to save his life from the death penalty.

But randomly, it seems like a Curb Your Enthusiasm and Larry David could hold the key to proving Catalan’s innocence.

Long Shot is on Netflix from today (Friday, September 29).
