We’re pretty sure we can manage to tell you about this without too many spoilers, but we do want to err on the side of caution.
Sunday night/early Monday morning saw HBO’s beloved fantasy show Game of Thrones come to a close. With the reputation of such a massive flagship programme on the line, surely nobody was going to make another embarrassing error. Especially not after that coffee cup was spotted on Dany’s desk in Winterfell.
Well, apparently modern beverages are less rare than you might think in Westeros.
Last night, many eagle-eyed members of the social media commentariat noticed a water bottle behind the leg of one Samwell Tarly — known coward, book-lover and all-round thirsty guy.

Clearly the citizens of Westeros have a hydration problem. Thankfully they can all finally go home and drink whatever they like in peace.
