A hydraulic door fell on the 71-year-old actor this evening on the set of Star Wars: Episode VII at Pinewood Studios.

Shooting the next Star Wars flick hasn’t been going for too long but already the man we all know as Han Solo has suffered a serious sounding injury.

According to reports tonight, Harrison Ford had to be rushed to hospital after a hydraulic door fell on him while filming. Reports say he collapsed in agony before being transferred rapidly to a nearby hospital.

It is suspected he has fractured his ankle.

A spokesman for Thames Valley Police said: “We were called to Pinewood studies at 5.05pm after reports of a 71-year-old man being injured by a garage door.”

A spokesman for the film said: “Harrison Ford sustained an ankle injury during filming today on the set of Star Wars: Episode VII. He was taken to a local hospital and is receiving care. Shooting will continue as planned while he recuperates.”

Get well soon Han.
