Harry Potter fans can now spend Halloween at Hogwarts and it sounds magical

Harry Potter Halloween

Harry Potter fans will love this.

Throughout the course of the Harry Potter films, the saga got progressively darker and despite the fact that it’s a family friendly franchise, there were some pretty grim moments.

We’re thinking about Voldemort returning and that scene at the grave, Aragog terrifying Ron, the Basilisk from the Chamber of Secrets, the Dementors.

Oh yeah, the whole story also revolves around a child that saw his own mother being murdered in front of his eyes. Happy stuff.

On that note, the mix of Halloween and Harry Potter sounds like heaven for most people and you don’t even need an invisible cloak to get into this party.

Following last year’s incredibly popular event, all witches, wizards and Muggles are allowed to attend a Halloween party that’s set in the Hogwarts Great Hall in Warner Bros. Studio, London.

Expecto cocktails and canapés because that’s how the evening will kick-off before guests get to step onto the red carpet and walk through the doors of the wizarding school and into the Great Hall – which will be completely transformed for Halloween.

The Great Hall will be decorated with over 100 floating pumpkins, just like that scene in Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, and the long tables will be brimming with pumpkins, butterbeer, and cauldrons of lollipops.

After stepping into the actual Great Hall set that was used for filming, there’s going to be a two-course dinner and drinks surrounded by the original props and costumes. No word yet if the house elves will be preparing that meal though.

Desert will be served in The Forbidden Forest and you’ll be able to eat in the company of magical creatures like Buckbeak the Hippogriff and Aragog the Acromantula.

Be warned though, Death Eaters will be roaming the Tour and you’ll get the chance to duel with them.

After dinner, guests can explore the Studio Tour after hours and wander sets like the Gryffindor common room and the Weasley’s kitchen from The Burrow.

The Studio Tour’s ‘Hogwarts after Dark’ events will take place on Friday 26, Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 October from 7,30pm until midnight and are open to over 18s only.
