Robin Williams passed away yesterday, aged 63.
The tragic news of the death of Robin Williams has shook the world since it broke yesterday and the legendary actor will be sorely missed from our screens in the future.
A statement issued by Williams’ publicist confirmed the news. It read: “Robin Williams passed away this morning. He has been battling severe depression of late. This is a tragic and sudden loss. The family respectfully asks for their privacy as they grieve during this very difficult time”.
Unsurprisingly, many stars and members of the public took to Twitter to share their condolences with the Williams family and also to celebrate the great career of one of the most iconic actors of his generation.
