Our TV movie pick for tonight (Saturday, 28 March) is Here Before, the 2021 Northern Irish psychological thriller starring Oscar nominee Andrea Riseborough (To Leslie).
The film sees the actress play Laura, a married woman and mother living in Belfast whose daughter died several years previously.
When another family, with a young daughter named Megan (Niamh Dornan), move in next door, it stirs up painful memories for Laura.
Before long, these memories turn to obsession as Laura starts to believe that Megan is her deceased child reincarnated.
The feature directorial debut of Stacey Gregg (Bad Sisters, Ballywalter), Here Before's cast also includes Eileen O'Higgins (Brooklyn), Jonjo O'Neill (Nightsleeper) and Martin McCann (Calibre).
Praised for its lead turn from Riseborough and its eerie and twisty story, the movie holds an 86% Rotten Tomatoes score.
Here Before is airing on TV tonight on RTÉ One at 11.40pm. It's also available to stream on Prime Video.
