Late Late lineup

Staying in?

There you are, a little bit of quarantine humour for you.

Another week is coming to another disappointing conclusion, but there is a silver lining of sorts in the news that we’ve successfully navigated our way through the bulk of January.

In other news, whether you view it as a silver lining or not, the lineup for this week’s Late Late Show is out.

Vicky Phelan will join Ryan Tubridy from the US after her first week of treatment in Maryland. Vicky hopes the treatment will prolong her life and give her more time with her family.

RTÉ’s Northern Editor Tommie Gorman will discuss Covid-19 and the issue with the border as well as a look back at some of the standout moments of the last 40 years.

There’s a few things people are really into right now, one of them is buying GameStop stock and the other is sea shanties. Wellerman singer and TikTok sea shanty star Nathan Evans will speak about his quick rise to fame which saw him leave his job and sign a record deal in the space of a week.

Dublin footballer Shane Carthy will be discussing his mental health and how he got through the darkest days.

Music on the show will be from Niamh Regan, the RTÉ Choice Music Prize nominee from Galway.

The Late Late Show will also be honouring this year’s Axa Community Heroes.
