That hugely impressive shot from Avengers: Endgame? Yeah, that was done for real

endgame real shot

Knowing this only make it all the more impressive.

It has been over a month, but just in case you’re literally that one person who hasn’t seen it yet, beware for spoilers from this point onward.

Avengers: Endgame is doing spectacularly well at the box office, and at the time of writing, closing in rapidly on Avatar’s all-time box office record, but it will be a close call…

With the upcoming Spider-Man: Far From Home set to pick up directly after the events of Endgame, we should probably anticipate some kind of double-screening event closer to that movie’s release this July.

Before then, we’re still finding out more and more about Endgame itself, and this latest little nugget of info is a real doozy!

For those who could see it through all of the tears, Tony Stark’s funeral scene was definitely one of the saddest things you’ll ever see in a blockbuster of this scope, and if you remember it well (maybe it was still too fresh and painful for your brain to accept properly, which… same).

It began with Pepper Potts and Morgan Stark pushing Tony’s memorial wreath out on the lake, before the camera pans through the majority of the remaining Avengers and their cohorts, before ending up at Nick Fury on Stark’s porch.

It was an impressive reminder of how expansive this cast actually was, but you – like us – probably assumed that it was done with computer trickery, getting everyone in their Sunday finest against green screen whenever they were available, and dropping them into the scene afterwards.

Turns out, thanks to a newly released behind-the-scenes image released by Nebula herself, that actually wasn’t the case:

Yep, everyone you spotted in that tracking shot was actually there that day, to say goodbye to Tony, and to the Avengers as we know it.

Excuse us, it would appear we’ve got something in our eye all over again…
