Netflix has released the first trailer and announced a release date for its latest series from acclaimed thriller writer Harlan Coben (Fool Me Once, The Stranger).
Titled I Will Find You, the eight-part show is based on Coben's 2023 novel of the same name and will land on the streaming service next month. Its story will follow David Burroughs (Sam Worthington, Avatar), a man wrongfully serving a life sentence for the murder of his son.
When he receives word from an old reporter friend (Britt Lower, Severance) that his son may actually be alive, David embarks on a truth-finding mission, breaking out of prison and "into a world of deceit and despair".
Alongside Lower and Worthington, the cast of the show includes Chi McBride (Narc), Clancy Brown (Highlander), Erin Richards (Gotham), Jonathan Tucker (Kingdom), Logan Browning (The Perfection), Madeleine Stowe (The Last of the Mohicans) and Milo Ventimiglia (This is Us).
Coben co-created the series, alongside Robert Hull (Gotham), with the latter serving as the showrunner.
I Will Find You is noteworthy for being the first of Coben’s Netflix projects to take place in the United States. The others have been set across the world, including the UK, Argentina, France, Poland and Spain, in four different languages.
Coben's first US Netflix series comes hot on the heels of his thriller show Run Away, which landed on the streaming service in January.
His previous Netflix thrillers include Fool Me Once, Missing You, Safe, Stay Close, and The Stranger.
On top of this, a new adaptation of his 2007 book The Woods for the streamer is currently in production. It was also announced this week that his long-running collection of novels about sports agent Myron Bolitar will be brought to the screen as well via Netflix.
In a 2025 interview with JOE to promote his Prime Video thriller Lazarus, meanwhile, Coben said he would "love" to set a future project in Ireland.
