The show is looking for contestants and new Gladiators.
Are you a fan of spandex, sweat, physicality and seeing people getting… eh, dominated? Then you’ll be delighted to hear Gladiators is making a return to our screens.
Three decades after it originally went on air, the iconic TV show is returning to our screens – yes it did have a short-lived revival in the noughties as well – and the producers are looking for contestants and new Gladiators to take part in the show.
“Do you have the speed, the strength, the heart to be a winner?” a statement by the show reads.
“Would you love to be a Gladiator or Contender in the brand new series in 2023? Or do you know someone who does?”
“Anyone interested in being a Gladiator or Contender can now register interest to receive an application form.”
The new series will include brand new games alongside classic challenges, culminating at the end of each episode with fan favourite, The Eliminator.
“Gladiators is back, and a whole new generation of viewers can now look forward to watching a Saturday night spectacle like no other,” Kate Phillips, BBC Director of Unscripted, said.
“Will the contenders have the will and the skill to succeed against our mighty new Gladiators? You’ll have to tune in to find out.”
The much loved series will be back with an 11-episode series and will welcome a brand new generation of contestants and Gladiators who will compete in the ultimate test of speed and strength.
