Indiana Jones 5 will definitely be made but it’s unclear when

Paul Moore

The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull never happened, ok?

Unlike the ark of the covenant or the Sankara stones, the announcement of a new Indiana Jones film isn’t really that much of a surprise to us given that the original trilogy is arguably one of the greatest in cinema history.

That film with monkeys, swinging vines, flying fridges, strange aliens and Shia LaBeouf never happened.

Henry Jones Junior might be currently hanging out with Chewbacca in a galaxy far, far away but it seems that our favourite archaeologist might be donning the famous fedora again.

In the words of Short Round, “Okey-Dokey, Dr. Jones! Hold on to your potatoes! because news of Indiana Jones 5 has just emerged.

Speaking with Vanity Fair, Star Wars and Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy said “An Indiana Jones film will one day be made inside this company. When it will happen, I’m not quite sure. We haven’t started working on a script yet, but we are talking about it.”

Mmm.

We brought you the news that Chris Pratt was linked to take over from Harrison Ford, a good casting decision in our opinion, but we really want to see Harrison Ford back in the role.

He’s the only person that’s cool enough to pull this off.
