Irish cinemas will be hosting a Westlife singalong with footage from their Croke Park gig

There’s on-screen lyrics to help you and your mates join in. Get your band together.

“Oh, we got a little cinema of our own
I’ll sing you things that no one else knows
The high notes I hit are like the crows
What am I doing without you?”

Ok, they’re not the exact words to Westlife’s absolute banger ‘World of Our Own’ but they do accurately convey a cracking night that Omniplex cinemas are hosting around Ireland.

If you were at the band’s recent gig at Croke Park – or if you missed out – now is the perfect time to revel in some Westlife tunes because Westlife The Twenty Tour – Sing-a-Long is coming to Omniplex cinemas.

Ok, what’s this all about?

Well, the official posting states that it’s time to “sing it all over again as we bring Westlife’s fabulous show, The Twenty Tour back to cinemas – for a sing-along! With on-screen lyrics, you can join in with Irish heartthrobs Shane, Nicky, Mark and Kian, and their 80,000-strong crowd at Dublin’s Croke Park Stadium as they perform all of their greatest hits. Featuring new music and all 14 of their UK No.1s such as ‘Uptown Girl’ ‘Flying Without Wings’, ‘You Raise Me Up’ and ‘If I Let You Go’, we want you to sing it loud and proud in celebration of one of pop’s most sensational comebacks.”

The event is scheduled to take place in cinemas around the country on 25 August and if you’re curious about heading along, more information can be found here.

After a few songs you’ll probably feel like you’re flying without wings.

If you love Westlife, it’s time to get your band together.
