WATCH: Jason Momoa doing a haka on the red carpet is absolutely excellent

He really went for it too.

We’re big fans of Jason Momoa here at JOE.

He was class as Khal Drogo in Game of Thrones, but he has moved underwater for his most recent role.

Momoa plays Aquaman in the 2018 blockbuster that was released this week.

He followed in the footsteps of Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, and Gal Gadot to become the most recent DC superhero to get their own movie, and he’s clearly enjoying himself.

At the premiere of the movie, he performed an incredibly powerful version of the Haka on the red carpet.

And he’s not alone. He has a band of supporters and lookalike kids who execute the performance perfectly too.

To be honest, it’s a little a bit terrifying, but we think that’s what he’s going for.

He could probably teach the All-Blacks a thing or two, but we doubt they’d be allowed bring the trident on to the pitch.

You can read our review of Aquaman in full here, or hear him tell a story of when he was mistaken for a drag queen in Belfast here.

Aquaman is in cinemas across Ireland now.
