Game of Thrones Peaky Blinders

Game of Thrones and Peaky Blinders, together at last.

In terms of actors that starred in both Peaky Blinders and Game of Thrones, the names of Aidan Gillen (Littlefinger/Aberama Gold) and Noah Taylor (Darby Sabini/Locke) instantly spring to mind but it appears that the worlds of Westeros and Birmingham are going to collide again.

The Hollywood Reporter have stated that Jason Momoa has been cast as the lead in Apple’s new series, See, from the creator of Peaky Blinders, Steven Knight.

At present, Momoa is set to wrap on James Wan’s comic-book flick Aquaman and after recently announcing his decision to leave the reboot of The Crow, it appears that Khal Drogo has his next project lined up.

At present, the new TV show is shrouded in secrecy with very few details known but we’re told that “See is described as an epic, world-building drama set in the future. Momoa will star in a lead role as Baba Voss, who is a fearless warrior, leader and guardian.”

Sounds about right.

Aside from being written by Steven Knight (Dirty Pretty Things, Locke, Peaky Blinders), TV fans will be delighted to see that Francis Lawrence (The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, Constantine) is attached to direct the series.

Aside from the fact that he’s busy writing new episodes of Peaky Blinders, Knight is also creating a new TV series that’s based on Charles Dickens’ classic novels for BBC One.

As for Momoa, Aquaman is set to be released on December 21 and we’re bound to see him in Ireland at some point in the near future.

After all, as we’ve frequently seen, that lad can’t say no to a good pint of Guinness!
