The legendary commentator's days in the WWE are numbered.
Jim Ross is rumored to be signing a deal with All Elite Wrestling once his WWE contract expires.
According to website Pro Wrestling Sheet, Ross said:
“I need to move on. I still want to play in the game. I still want to stay busy. I still think I can do play-by-play even though others that may surround Vince think I can’t."
This won't be the first time that Ross has left the company.
Following an exit, JR returned to WWE to call The Undertaker’s match at WrestleMania 33 against Roman Reigns and he went on to call various special events for the company afterward.
Ross hasn't appeared on television since last April's Greatest Royal Rumble pre-show panel.
He is rumoured to be joining AEW, a company headed up by Tony Khan, the son of Shahid Khan, the billionaire owner of both NFL side Jacksonville Jaguars and Fulham FC.
The company look set to compete with the WWE, with big names like Kenny Omega, Cody Rhodes, Chris Jericho and The Young Bucks all involved.
