The good news was confirmed this week by Lions Gate Entertainment and the sequel is set to see the return of Keanu Reeves as John Wick, while David Leitch and Chad Stahelsk are set to return to the directors’ seats.
Speaking about the announcement, Jason Constantine, President of Acquisitions and Co-Productions at Lions Gate, said: “With such tremendous fan and critical support for ‘John Wick,’ we knew that there was still so much more of this story to tell.
“We are thrilled that Keanu, David and Chad have re-teamed with us and promise to bring audiences even more excitement the second time around.”
The movie is set to be sold at the upcoming Cannes Film Market, so we’ll have to wait until then before we hear anything about a release date.
