Is anyone all that surprised, really?
Have you seen Joker?
If not, how the hell have you managed to survive in a world where everyone has a very strong opinion about what is certainly the most divisive movie of the year?
Some people think it's a cinematic masterpiece, some find it incredibly overrated, but one thing is for sure - a hell of a lot of people are getting themselves down to the cinema to see it.
After having already brought in over
$93.5 million in its opening weekend, and then passing the half-billion dollar mark 10 days after its release, it was clear the movie was going to be a huge hit.
And it's not slowing down anytime soon.
It's being reported that the DC comic book movie has shot passed out Deadpool has the highest grossing R-rated movie of all time, surpassing $783 million at the box office, according to
Forbes.
A ridiculous amount of money.
Ryan Reynolds, the star of both Deadpool and Deadpool 2, has congratulated those involved with Joker, in typical fashion...

Now there's a crossover that we'd like to see.
Next on the list for Joker to try and pass out is Avengers: Infinity War, the MCU movie that smashed all kinds of records in 2018, before being eclipsed by its sequel Avengers: Endgame the year later.
Our takeaway from all of this? People love comic book movies.
